You already know that your instrument can crack in dry weather. But, do you know how to protect it? Repairing a cracked top of a fine guitar is expensive, and it can alter its sound. To solve this problem, guitarists have been using "sound hole" humidifiers since the 1960's. These humidifiers have significant shortcomings. You can’t see when they need to be refilled, and when you do refill them, they can be overfilled and drip inside your expensive instrument. This is because all currently available "sound hole" humidifiers have openings to allow for water evaporation. The job of protecting your guitar against leaks is left to an absorbent medium like a sponge or floral foam, which can be easily over saturated with water.

Oasis has developed a better answer to humidification and solved these problems by using a completely different approach. The body of the Oasis® Guitar Humidifier is made from a specially designed fabric that allows water vapor, but not water, to pass through it. As the vapor transmission takes place, a vacuum is created and Oasis® shrinks to compensate for the loss of water. Because you can see the Oasis® shrink, it’s easy to determine when it is ready for refill. Also, you don't have to guess when it is full. Simply unscrew the black cap, fill with water to the top of the container, and replace the cap. Once sealed, the water-tight container is your first line of defense against leaks. Humigel™, the super absorbent polymer crystals inside Oasis®, is your second line of defense. Humigel™ captures up to 500 times its weight in water in an absorbent gel matrix.

Like other "sound hole" humidifiers, Oasis® fits between the strings of your guitar. The materials that touch your strings are relatively soft and won’t scratch. A blue polyurethane stabilizing bar fits over the neck of the humidifier. Once positioned in the sound hole, the stabilizing bar lies across the guitar strings to ensure even weight distribution. The Oasis® Guitar Humidifier never touches the body of your instrument.

Because tap and bottled water contain dissolved minerals that can clog the liner, distilled water is recommended to extend the useful life of your humidifier.

Shipping Methods
Domestic Shipments are made with USPS or UPS Ground (UPS is for large packages and is lower 48 USA only). UPS will not ship to PO boxes. If a large item is required to ship with UPS, a physical address will be needed to complete shipment.

All electronics with included power supplies have 110v-120v power supplies unless otherwise mentioned in the description. If you are purchasing for overseas use, you may need a different power supply or power converter. These are very inexpensive items that will convert the voltage for use in your country.

Easy Returns
If you have an issue with your item, please contact us, we want to help. We have a 30-Day return policy for new items. You can request a replacement, exchange, or a refund. Used items are sold "as-is". Refunds are for the price paid minus shipping costs, and processing fees. Please contact us first in order to do a return. Returned items must be in original packaging complete with all accessories. Missing packaging/accessories will result in restock fees, and/or possible refusal of return. Items damaged by customer cannot be returned. Software cannot be returned. Due to health standards, items that go in ears or in front of mouth may not be eligible for return.
